Positive: We liked the building and the size of the appartment. The windows have outside blinds and so your room can be completely dark. The environment was quiet. Apartment is newish. The location is close to the beach, shop with short walk also to the train station with quick connection to Nice or Cannes directions. Staff was really kind and welcoming.
Negative: What bothered us: 1. When we arrived, we didn't know where the hotel is because there is no sign or name on the building! Because in reality, the building is a retirement home called Stella, not a hotel..only thing we noticed 2 days later was a small poster showing Zenaho appart hotels in a flower pot. We believe this is not appropriate advertising as a hotel and it deceive people who book on the booking. Please be honest. Don't make a hotel out of seniors residence. 2. The staff didn't speak English as stated on booking.com so if you don't know a bit of French it could be a bigger issue. 3. After arrival at the address there was nothing about Zenao appart hotels, luckily a lady who noticed us being confused in the street called someone at reception because you cannot get in without a fob, we paid extra local tax and we waited until 4 pm for our room to be ready. However, we found there some unfinished food! There were no toiletries as stated on booking. There wasn't even a teatowel in the kitchen, and on booking they say the kitchen is equipped. No sponge or washing up liquid. So be honest it is very basic too. 4. There was no hotel service - no one came to take out the trash for example and we had no way to mop so the floor was dirty. We had to ask for toilet paper because we were 4 and were given 2 rolls for 7 days stay.. we had to chase staff to ask for a toilet paper 3x. Toilet had no freshener and there was no soap for bathroom and handwashing. I questioned myself if the room was ready. So basically you get a place but no service. We bought basics we needed and I believe those things should have been in the appartment. 5. The water temperature in the sink was not regulated and there was a risk of scalding. I believe this should be regulated for safety reasons especially for children. 6. The floor on the balcony was not clean and there was no place to sit outside or hang wet swimsuits. This was disappointing for such a nice terrace. 7.
