Views are maximized to take in Grand Teton National Park and the Gros Ventre Mountain Range. Owner and Designer sat in chairs on the empty lot and were inspired by a Bald Eagle flying overhead. The home was envisioned to look like an eagle from above as the drone photos shows. The East master wing and West guest portion of the home look like the wings of the eagle and the main living area is the body. Thus, The Eagle Home!
The house is perfectly angled to take in Grand Teton and panoramic views of the Teton Mountian Range as well as the Sleeping Indian (Sheep Mountain 11,014'), views which fill each guest room. Custom beam work enhances the expansive space. Fireplace tiles are a massive 2 x 48 pieces and finished wood mantle and antler lights add a modern feistiness and provide an evening statement. The Great room offers expansive views with huge windows into the heart of the Tetons and the leather chairs by them swivel so one can gaze at the range or chat comfortably with a group. The entire cook's kitchen is a delight with all custom handmade cabinetry, top of the line professional Wolf appliances, highlighted with a Wolf 6-burner gas range and custom metal range hood, accented by large Cambria Solid slab counter tops with a seamless water fall edge on the island. The windows in the kitchen stacks back completely to provide seamless open air indoor/ outdoor living space while the kitchen counter extends as a bar / eating counter to the patio pool area to fully enhance the indoor/ outdoor experience with access to South Patio, Fire Pit, and plunge pool with water fall. From here the Gros Ventre Range sprawls out in front of you to include the iconic Jackson Peak piercing the sky as seen from the pool. A theme here is the coffee bar and tile on back splash repeats what's going on in nature. Range sconces are rock sconces for a natural flair.
The entire house and outdoor living spaces were furnished fully from Arhaus, whose philosophy reads "We partner with artisans from around the word to produce heirloom quality furniture and décor locally sourced that can be used and loved for generations."
The King master has a electric fireplace, Smart TV, Huge closets and access to patio.
Master bath custom cabinets are hand made. Master Bathroom is complete with all Restoration Hardware fixtures and décor and custom tile from floor to 10' ceiling with zero entry showers. Master shower is a luxurious steam shower with two heads and 6 foot quartz bench. A huge custom closet off the bath has built-in drawers. This incredible en suite bathroom also has a custom private water closet.
The Master wing has additional sliding barn doors to create a vestibule to provide an additional space for privacy. A set of barns doors allows you to cut off the house from entry and cuts off main area to foyer for extra privacy at night. To keep it dark, these doors have a custom " Z" wood inlay touch.
The two first floor guest bedrooms in the East wing are queens, with each featuring a private bath, decorated with Restoration Hardware. The guest room 1 window was moved after plans were drawn to showcase the direct site line views of the Sleeping Indian Mountain.
The West wing has second full family room with bunk area, TV, sofa, wet bar/ fridge and full private bathroom with full privacy from barn door. Both bedrooms on this side of the property have an accent wall decorated with appropriate artwork and design features, as well as fireplace and TVs in all rooms. Bathrooms offer herring bone tile from floor to ceiling and zero rise entry. Each shares a similar a style and color palette but each has its own distinct flavor.
A fun little detail for the stairs to bonus room -- the Designer selected carpet that has Mountain pattern to reinforce the setting and bring the natural world inside. Bunks are both queens. The Office here is spacious with swivel chairs to allow yourself to be distracted and to take a break from the computer and spin around for a mental escape to the mountain vistas.
