Positive: It was relatively quiet and about halfway between the Duomo and the central train station about a 25 minute walk to each. It was very close to the Muscovy subway stop so that was very convenient. The apartment was very nice. The kitchen is tiny but adequate and well equipped with everything one would need. A better lighter for the gas stove would be good. An igniter would be easier to use. Good thick warm comforters.

Negative: The heating should have been turned on sooner in the morning as it got chilly in the apartment and took hours to get up to a comfortable temperature. The shower needed special instructions to work properly which included running the water in the kitchen sink at the same time as one ran the water in the shower to get the hot water to come on. Would be nice to know this before one is standing in the shower waiting 5 minutes for the hot water to turn on, which never happened until the water in the kitchen turned on simultaneously. With these instructions it worked fine. No hair dryer on the property. Someone came home at 4:30 a.m. and the noise from upstairs walkway was very loud and woke me up. Great idea to have vouchers for a lovely bakery nearby. Only problem was that they were having issues and the bakery was closed the entire time we were there. They tried to make up for this by having someone bring by breakfast but it was nothing compared to what we would have gotten at the bakery: packaged dried toast, jam and milk. The vouchers included a hot and cold drink and a pastry of some sort. I suspect in the future the bakery will be open again but they were having some kind of technical problems. There is another lovely bakery 2 minutes walk in the other direction. One bed was OK. The other one was too hard.

Summary: All in all great stay. Elena was very responsive and helpful.
