An original Shaver Lake cabin, The Hideaway is quaint in size, with one main living space, two small bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and bathroom. You'll love hanging out in the mountain air outside on the upper and lower decks, around the fire pit, BBQing, and hanging out at the picnic table under the cafe lights. The fireplace inside is easily workable with an on/off switch. The cabin is a quick 5-minute walk to town, easy for any ability level- from kids to grandparents! Right behind the cabin, you'll find a small stream in the spring and summer, and a hill perfect for sledding and snow play through the winter months! 5-10 minute drive to the lake, 25-30 minute drive to China Peak Ski Resort. Parking for 1-2 cars.

The Space
The cabin is located in the west village, walking distance to the heart of Shaver Lake downtown! You'll park at street level and walk down a few steps to the upper deck, where the entrance is located. Inside, you'll find a great room with comfy sofas, a sweet reading nook by the window and fireplace, and a raised dining area. A breakfast bar with two bar stools connects the living area to the fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms, one with a full bed and attached bathroom, the only bathroom in the cabin. The other bedroom has a bunk bed and a queen size bed. Though the cabin is small, there's plenty of space outside to spread out and enjoy! Two decks, fire pit, and plenty of space to explore the seasonal creek behind the cabin, sky-high trees, and the Creek Fire line. The space is designed with your comfort in mind, with authentic Shaver Lake furnishings and materials.

The Neighborhood
Located in the Shaver Lake's West Village, behind The Trading Post restaurant and Shaver Lake Bakery and Deli, famous for their chunky bread! Take a quick easy walk to every restaurant and shop in Shaver! Rent water sports gear, kayaks, boats, etc. at the first dock just 5 minutes away! Easy 25-minute drive to China Peak Ski Resort and Huntington Lake. While you're in town, check out Mono Hot Springs, Dinkey Creek Honeymoon Pools, and Rancheria Falls! The Shaver area is a community, rich in generations of family memories and natural beauty. Shaver Lake is a popular lake for water sports activities. Water skiing, jet skis, and windsurfing are some of the activities available at this mountain lake. Canoe and kayak enthusiasts will find many out-of-the-way coves and miles of shoreline to explore!

House Rules
1. Communication is key! Check-in after 4pm. Check out by 11am. Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm.
2. Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Max occupancy is 8 but we think 6 will be the most comfortable.
3. No unauthorized parties! Please respect Tiny Shaver as if it's your own. It's small! Please don't try to sneak in more people. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, fire pit), and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.
5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If this doesn't sound like a good fit, let us know what you're looking for and we can point you in the right direction. We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!
6. Act like a local! Please don't leave trash outside where it will attract bears and other wild animals. There is a provided trash bin for your convenience. Please don't block the road or the neighbor's driveway. Additional boat parking may be available in the summer.
