The Farmhouse at Ollie Oaks is a lovingly restored 1905 farmhouse in the style of “Chip&Joe”. This farm was acquired via land grant in the mid 1800’s and has been in our family since 1848. We are the proud 6th generation owners and have just completed a 3 yr restoration on the home.

The home features 3 bedrooms 2 (Queen) downstairs and 2 full baths. Upstairs you will find a a large 400 sq foot sleeping loft with 2 twin beds a trundle twin and 1 full. **Steep stairs to loft**

Summary: I wanted a place in Texas close to the April 8 2024 total eclipse centerline with plenty of clear space to setup telescopes and photography gear to catch the event. Weather was iffy but we got lucky and had a wonderful eclipse-viewing experience! The old farmhouse is clean and very charming. The open kitchen and expandable dining room table can accommodate even larger groups, but for the few of us that stayed the week it was perfect for evening cards & board games. Beds were comfy and bathrooms very clean, with plenty of towels. The back porch is great for sitting & talking around the fire pit. For anyone staying in the front/east bedroom, you may want to bring along a blackout curtain. I'm glad I did, because even with the blinds closed it gets awfully bright in there.
