Welcome to Riverbend Cabin #3, a peaceful and private 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom oasis nestled in the natural beauty of the Mount Hood wilderness. This spacious yet cozy cabin comes with clean and contemporary indoor furnishings, an array of outdoor amenities, and endless nature explorations to experience during your stay in the picturesque Pacific Northwest.
Inside the open-concept common area, you'll find a comfy full-size fold-down couch, expandable coffee table, 55" flatscreen Smart television, and a warm wood burner for pleasant nights of entertainment spent with friends and family. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all stainless steel appliances and stocked with cooking tools, ample counter space, and a dining table fit for 6 to enjoy delicious meals for the whole group.
The large Primary bedroom has a king bed, a full bed, and high vaulted ceilings. A reading nook with a small couch, side table with a softly lit lamp, a comfy foot stool (pouf) and a bookshelf filled with books. From that room you will have a beautiful view of the back yard. A queen air mattress and a porta-crib are available to accommodate additional guests. A full bath includes a shower/tub combo and a washer and dryer unit, and it comes stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Step outside to the peaceful back deck area to find the outdoor table and chair set, a barbecue grill station, a large lawn, and a luxurious hot tub, making it the perfect setting for hosting a fun-filled cookout while listening to the calm waters of the nearby stream, playing yard games with the young ones amidst the forest scenery, or taking a well-deserved soak in the tub after a long day of adventuring under the starlit Oregon night sky. For extra fun, stroll behind the cabin to the secluded firepit and outdoor area for those special nights filled with campfires and smores.
Water for this unit comes from a well and is run through an extensive filtering system, so it is very safe for drinking; however, we recommend bringing up bottled water if you don't like the taste or smell of well water. Pets are welcome with advance notice upon agreement to the pet rules and payment of a pet fee. Please reach out to management for specific details regarding pets.
Your charming cabin getaway is centrally located between the pleasant town of Sandy and Timberline Lodge atop Mt. Hood. It is also about an hour from downtown Portland and PDX airport. This stellar location gives you convenient access to several beautiful parks and year-round skiing up on the slopes of Timberline. Popular summer activities range from kayaking at Trillium Lake and white water rafting the Deschutes River to horseback riding, mountain biking, and tubing. Winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding are also abundant, as well as snowshoeing and Cosmic tubing. With snow prevalent during the winter, we keep our driveways as clear as possible. Chains for your car are also required for travel during the winter to navigate the mountain roads; however, you will not need chains to travel to the cabin. Shuttles go up to the mountain ski areas, with the pickup location being just down the road from the property. Scheduled pickups and drop-offs must be researched in advance.
Please note that this property has exterior facing security cameras onsite. Cameras point exclusively to driveway and cannot see the inside the home and/or hot tub.
