Positive: I had a wonderful stay at Soul Breeze Hotel! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect — right on the beach. The live music added a great vibe, and The bar and food was also fantastic. They keep the gates closed, so you're away from all the chaos happening on the streets. No sellers are allowed to enter from the beach side, which is also very important. Beach is getting cleaned every day from all the sea weeds. It still gets dirty of the tides, but it's looked after. You get white beach/blue water view. Local gym is very good. You can join classes for 1000 shillings or train with weights for free. Bar gets a lot of visitors from the outside, so it's always busy and vibrant. But always gets quiet around bed time. Every morning they serve breakfast: fresh fruits, vegetables, sausages. Chef is making omelettes and pancakes. There is filtered water machine, so you don't have to buy water. The swimming pool being open 24/7 was amazing. You can swim at night and watch the stars. To sum up, it's not a high end hotel, but if you want to enjoy beach vibe, swimming, friendly people - that's the place to be. Beautiful sunrises!
Negative: It's not a negative thing, but something to be aware of: -there are power outages in Diani Beach. It's not a hotel problem, it's a town problem. Hotel has generators which usually take up to a minute to switch to. During my stay, power outages happened every evening at least few times. -I stayed in the main building room 3. There were toilet issues, we had to borrow the bucked to flush the toilet. But again, it seems to be a problem in many places. Also the toilet was leaking. It seems to be an ongoing problem, considering previous reviews. These are small things, they do not ruin the holidays :)
