Welcome to Hills Meaford, where your adventure in the beautiful Meaford area begins! Once a historical dairy factory, this charming building has been transformed into four cozy rental units, complete with an adventure shop.

Perfectly situated just steps from downtown Meaford and mere minutes from the stunning Georgian Bay, Georgian Trail cycling route, the renowned Trout Hollow Trail, various shops, restaurants, and only 25 minutes from Blue Mountain, our modern suite serves as an ideal year-round retreat after a day of exploring.

Your home away from home awaits in the "Ski" unit, located on the second floor. This spacious two-bedroom apartment features an open kitchen/living/dining area filled with natural light streaming through large windows. The fully stocked kitchen allows you to whip up gourmet meals while enjoying supplied kitchen essentials like tea, coffee, condiments, and food wraps—all designed to make you feel right at home. Gather around the refinished dining table for family dinners or game nights with seating for four. Afterward, relax on the comfortable couch in the living room, perfect for binge-watching Netflix or curling up with a good book.

Recently renovated, the apartment is fresh, bright, and welcoming. You’ll find two cozy bedrooms when you ascend a couple of stairs: one with a queen bed and the other featuring bunk beds topped with Endy mattresses, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The principal bedroom boasts a dresser and closet combo for your convenience, while the second bedroom includes twin over full bunk beds with a unique storage staircase. The full bathroom offers a relaxing tub and laundry facilities conveniently located within the kitchen.

Step into Hills, grab a cup of coffee, and connect with fellow travelers and locals as you plan your next adventure in the Georgian Bay area. Our shop caters to all your needs with basic bike repairs and rentals available for residents and guests eager to explore.

While staying at Hills Meaford, don’t miss out on everything the surrounding area has to offer. We will soon provide hourly electric bike, pedal bike, paddle board, and e-scooter rentals. Additionally, we recommend reaching out to our adventure partners, Free Spirit Tours, to curate exciting exploration options and packages tailored to your interests.

The Meaford area is a playground for all seasons! Whether you're biking, hiking, boating, or making the quick drive to Blue Mountain for skiing, there’s always something to do. After a day filled with adventure, stroll downtown to enjoy one of our favorite restaurants or relax by the waterfront to witness breathtaking sunsets before returning to your cozy apartment for a restful evening.

Across the street lies the picturesque Bighead River, which feeds into Georgian Bay. Daily walks around town often reveal locals fishing in the river or off the docks. Committed to supporting local talent, we’ve collaborated with the nearby Craig Gallery to showcase local artists throughout the apartment. Environmentally conscious, all soaps and cleaning supplies are sourced from The Keep Refillery, using all-natural, plastic-free products that are both effective and eco-friendly!

You will have exclusive access to the entire apartment, which includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and dining area. Feel free to use the laundry machines. Please note that the stairwell to the apartment is shared with two other units on the second and third floors, granting privacy to you and the other guests.

Your stay will be managed by our cohost Kylie, who travels extensively throughout Southern Ontario. While she may not be available in person, she is just a quick message or phone call away for any assistance you might need! As we continue to establish our services, someone from the store may also be present to help.

The vibrant atmosphere of Meaford promises endless opportunities to enjoy live theatre, delightful dining experiences, unique shopping, and outdoor adventures—all set against a backdrop of stunning natural landscapes. Just moments outside the downtown core, you'll discover rolling countryside, charming historic villages, secluded beaches, and unspoiled nature areas.

Everything you need is within walking distance! A local grocery store is just a 5-minute drive away, while Thornbury is a convenient 10-minute drive, and Blue Mountain is only 25 minutes away by car.

Free parking in Meaford is readily available on streets and in municipal lots, with a public lot directly across the street or two additional municipal lots just a block away. During winter months from November 15 to April 1, Market Square, located at 12 Nelson Street East (only a three-minute walk), serves as the only designated overnight parking lot for those needing to park between 2 AM and 6 AM. Be sure to follow the posted signs for appropriate parking to avoid tickets and ensure proper snow removal.

Meaford proudly embraces LGBTQ+ friendliness, and we take hosting seriously as “Hostfully Hosts.” When you choose to stay with us, expect an email containing a Hostfully guidebook link, providing essential information about your stay and recommendations for local attractions and activities, easily accessible from your phone while exploring the area.

All linens, including sheets, pillows, duvets, towels, and extra blankets, are provided for your comfort—just remember to bring your own beach towels. The apartment is heated via baseboard heating and cooled using a wall AC unit.

In an effort to create a pleasant environment, we've equipped this home with a Minut sensor, monitoring noise (without recording sound), occupancy, temperature, and humidity to keep our property and neighborhood safe and comfortable for all guests. This ensures a harmonious experience for everyone and prevents disturbances to our neighbors.

We kindly remind you that we can accommodate a maximum of 5 guests. Additional visitors not listed on your reservation are not permitted. Parties and events are not allowed.

This is a shoe-free building, so please remove your shoes at the door of your unit. Lock the door when leaving the apartment, and adhere to quiet hours from 11 PM to 8 AM per city bylaws.

We appreciate your consideration in not smoking inside the apartment and kindly request smoking occurs across the street away from entryways and bike shops to maintain a smoke-free environment. Pets are not allowed in this suite.
