Summary: Deer Isle is a bit off the beaten path, so if you are seeking nightlife and tourist attractions, look elsewhere. If you are looking for classic Maine scenery, outdoor recreation, and some peace and quiet, Sherwood Cottage just might be for you. It’s a simple cottage, with nothing fancy about it. But it offers great views, a screened porch and a deck both overlooking the water. There’s direct, easy access to your own little piece of coaastline. There was plenty of room for two couples, a three-year-old, and an 91-year-old to enjoy two weeks of relaxation and family time.
