Summary: Unfortunately we had an awful experience on the very first morning with very unprofessional behaviour by a member of staff. The manager sought to rectify the issue immediately but it did sour our stay. On the whole the hotel is perfectly situated and should have been a perfect stay. I did notice an improvement after speaking with the manager, just disappointed it happened as it did. In terms of bedrooms, our grand suite was lovely with its own little garden, comfortable bed etc. the communal areas need some attention - general painting, carpets torn in places and updating. I would stress that the Manager did address my concerns very quickly and I understand that there were actions taken after my experience. If you are Coeliac or gluten intolerant, what I would say is that food options at breakfast are minimal.
