Welcome to Fallows Annexe - a newly renovated private guest suite set in woodland in the beautiful Wye Valley. Open up the bi-fold doors and enjoy the sun-trap decking area with Bbq. Sit out under the infra-red heater on a starry night and listen to the resident owl! Or snuggle up inside by the cosy bio-fuel burner. Fallows Annexe is located in a walkers paradise just up the hill from Symonds Yat and just across the River Wye from the Forest of Dean. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Fallows Annexe is a self-contained guest suite, renovated at the start ofThere is a spacious living area with a cosy settee, bio-fuel burner and tv. There is plenty of light, thanks to the skylights and bi-fold doors, which open out onto the sun-trap decking area, which has great views of the local woodland. To the side on the living space is a brand new kitchen, complete with oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of worktop space, where the wi-fi and smart speaker can be found. The king bedroom has plenty of light and space, whilst the bathroom has a hot and powerful shower. Outside, beneath the decking, there is a small secure garden, perfect for dogs to have a little run around in.
The space is located next to our house, Beechnut Cottage, but is fully fenced off, so that Fallows Annexe is a private space for guests. The ground floor of Fallows Annexe (including the double garage) is not available for access.
Our place is a few steps away and we are available when needed and happy to say hi, especially if you have dogs with you! We're very happy to introduce you to our motely crew of rescue animals. Please ask if you'd like some local information, such as recommended walks and pubs.
Fallows Annexe is located just up the hill from Symonds Yat West and less than half a mile from the River Wye. The local area is beautiful all year round and is especially popular with walkers, mountain bikers, bird spotters and kayakers. There are many walks leading from Fallows Annexe and plenty of opportunities for great views of the Wye Valley and also to see the local deer population. There is a great pub at the bottom of the hill by the River Wye (Ye Olde Ferrie Inn) which in the summer months has one of the Uk's last remaining hand ferries in operation over the river. There are loads of river activities such as cruises, boat and kayak hire, and lots of other attractions nearby such as Goodrich Castle and Ancre Hill Vineyard. The nearby village of Whitchurch has a great local store with fresh local produce and takeaway food (Woods Of Whitchurch) whilst Monmouth (5 miles) has lots of boutique shops as well as Waitrose and M&s, whilst Ross-on-Wye (9 miles) also has lots of shops and things to see and do.
The best way the explore the local neighbourhood is on foot! There are many different walking routes passing Fallows Annexe. There are some great mountain biking routes too. The local roads are narrow, bumpy and steep in places. Fallows Annexe is located at the top of Wye View Lane, but we don't recommend driving up or down this road, which is actually a track. If it is open, we don't recommend driving up or down Sandiway Lane either. Other local roads also tend to be narrow, bumpy, steep or muddy, so we recommend that guests follow the directions when coming to or leaving Fallows Annexe. An allocated parking space is signed at the bottom of Fallows Annexe. We ask that one parking space is kept clear for garage access. If more parking is required, guests are welcome to use the car parking area opposite our house.
Fallows Annexe is well located close to the A40 duel carriageway, but the last mile requires following the directions closely to ensure you don't get lost!
It is a dog friendly space but please refer to the house rules.
Whilst we have tried to ensure as much privacy as possible, Fallows Annexe is located next to our house. The decking is raised to make the most of the sun and as a result is higher than some of the garden fencing. We have two young children and a number of rescue pets! So you may hear from or see our children, sheep, chickens (no cockerels though!), dogs or cats. There is a resident owl nearby, and you may also hear other birds, foxes and deer. Lots of lovely rural sounds to be heard!

Please contact us if you want to bring any more than two dogs. Dogs may not go on the sofa or bed. Dogs must be kept under close control at all times due to the proximity of cats, sheep, chickens and other dogs. Dogs may not be left alone at Fallows Annexe. Please clean the Bbq before you leave, please read the instructions for the Bio-Fuel burner before use, please turn off the outdoor heater when not in use, please do not have the bi-fold doors open in wet and/or windy weather.
Pet(s) live on property - We have three cats who may come and say hi! We also have three dogs, who will sometimes be in our garden, next to Fallows Annexe. We have two sheep and eight chickens in small fields next door. All our pets are rescue animals and we're happy to introduce you, just ask!.
Potential for noise - Fallows Annexe is located next to our house, where we have a lot of rescue pets! So you may hear from or see our sheep, chickens (no cockerels though!), dogs or cats. There is a resident owl nearby, and you may also hear other birds, foxes and deer. Lots of lovely rural sounds to be heard!.
Must climb stairs - Access to Fallows Annexe is either by a set of external steps (eleven steps) or a short walk up a steep track, with a step at the top..
