Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Mongki's Pension House is super clean, oraganized and new. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was also great. The room is small but it was enough, we just missed hanging spots but we managed. TV with Netflix was a plus as we got few rainy days. Comfortable overall with little things that could be improved.
Negative: The toilet is really small, even for Asia (we've been travelling for a month in the Philippines and this was the smallest toilet), the water doesn't really drains well after shower so every time we went to toilet we had to get our feet wet. Location wasn't great as well, you can't go anywhere without a scooter or tuktuk and the pensionhouse entrance gets very muddy in rainy days. I felt that they charged extra price for everything just because you don't have many choices around, so keep in mind you can find things way cheaper in the centre, as an example, the pension house would charge us 500 php for an early 5min drive to the airport, but a tuktuk took us for 200 php.
