This 1978 midcentury gem has been freshened up for modern living. Located about an hour from both Portland and Hood River, it’s ideal for one to two families, with sleeping space for eight.
Bedroom #1 offers a king-size bed with a memory-foam mattress.
Bedroom #2 offers a queen-size pillow-top mattress.
The upstairs sleeping loft features four memory-foam twin beds; this room can be closed off from the main downstairs living space by a thick curtain.
The living space is open and airy, with a wood-burning fireplace that will keep you cozy during cooler months. A few logs of firewood is provided; additional wood can be picked up in town. There is a projector, a Sonos Soundbar, a custom vintage gaming station, as well as a record player and vinyl collection. An assortment of board games and coffee-table books rounds out the entertainment options.
The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee-making supplies and all the pots, pans, and utensils for your cooking needs. (If you are curious whether we have a specific item, just ask!)
The covered hot tub is just steps from the front door. The front deck is a great spot for long meals on summer evenings or just taking in the sun, and there is an outdoor fire pit that’s perfect for chilly evenings.
This is a pet friendly chalet, 2 maximum, $25 per dog.

Rental Terms and Conditions
~Check-in is at 4pm, unless otherwise specified by the owner.
~For your convenience, a notebook has been provided in your cabin with information regarding the cabin, local recreational activities and maps, and local resources for food and shopping.
~Check-out time is 11 AM. A late check out must be pre-approved 24 hours before check-in.
~Check-out procedures are located by the front door.
~All keys must be placed back in their original locations. If keys are lost, misplaced, or not returned, you are responsible for the cost of replacing the keys and/or costs incurred to re-key the locks.
Security Deposit:
~We have wonderful customers and rarely have to keep a security deposit, but things do happen! If there are no problems, this deposit is 100% refundable and will be refunded through VRBO.
Limited Occupancy:
~We have designated maximum occupancy rates for our cabins for a number of reasons. The most obvious one is that we want you to be comfortable and fully enjoy your rental experience! Second, and just as important, we want you to be safe and well within the county safety codes. Third, we just don't want our cabins trashed! Therefore, we do not allow sleeping anywhere in the cabin that isn't a designated sleeping area (beds and futons)\If you are the primary registered guest, you must be over 21. As the primary registered guest, you MUST be staying at the cabin for the entire rental period and you are responsible for any expenses/damages incurred during the visit. No guests under 21 years of age may stay in the cabin unless they are accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. Just a reminder, any unauthorized/unpaid for guests discovered on the premises will result in an automatic forfeiture of your deposit, immediate eviction, and potential legal action should the need arise.
No Smoking:
~All of our cabins are non-smoking. We ask that Guest's who wish to smoke do so outside and dispose of their butts in the receptacles provided for you. Please do not litter the grounds of your cabin with cigarette butts or matches.
Repairs and Service Calls:
~We will do our absolute best to remedy any malfunctions, meltdowns, or general annoyances that affect our man-made products, but please be aware that life on the mountain moves at a different pace and sometimes it is difficult to get repairs done the same day that we have been made aware of the situation. Please be patient and know that we are doing everything in our power to get it fixed. Thanks in advance for your understanding! In the event that the cabin is rendered unfit for occupancy not due to you/your occupants actions or neglect, you will be refunded the remaining pro-rated balance of your visit. If the cabin is totally destroyed, the rental agreement will terminate and you will pay rent up to the day of destruction.
~You and all registered occupants of the Rental Property shall be liable for all damages caused during their occupancy. Cost of repairs and/or replacement shall be deductible from the security deposit and additional costs shall include attorney's fees and costs, if incurred in the collection.
Right of Entry:
~We reserve the right to enter and inspect the premises at any reasonable time or to make repairs as needed.
Hot Tubs:
~Everybody loves a hot tub! We make every effort to keep our hot tubs clean, well maintained, and in good working order. But things do happen and, as mentioned before, living on the mountain can be a little challenging...not to mention the very annoying pine needles! We cannot always arrange for timely repairs or guarantee the mechanical operation of the equipment, but we will do our best to make sure you have a warm soak waiting for you!
Barbecues:
~BBQ: While cooking on the BBQ's, be sure there is someone monitoring it at all times. Please be kind and clean the BBQ's when you are finished and turn off the propane after each use. Nobody likes the smell of leaking propane anyway!
FIREWORKS:
~ Sorry, but again I remind you of the tinder box.
Bugs, Critters, and Bears:
~As civilized as our cabins are, they are still in the woods and surrounded by all kinds of critters that would like nothing more than to feast upon your leftovers! Please be sure not to leave anything outside (trash, etc) that would tempt them.
Housekeeping:
~All of our cabins are completely cleaned and sanitized before your arrival and after your departure. You are on vacation, so relax, we will do the cleaning. There are just a few things we ask you to do upon departure and you will find these in your arrival instructions.
Parties & Events:
~We do not allow unauthorized parties or events at any of our cabins. We really want you to enjoy your vacation, so if you are planning a gathering with guests that are not authorized on your rental agreement, we ask that you inform us beforehand. It is not acceptable for your event guests to stay overnight for any reason. They are not authorized on your RA and will result in additional fines and/or eviction. We reserve the right to deny occupancy to any group who has an unauthorized party or event at the rental home. There will be no refund of rent or other taxes and fees for unauthorized events.
Courtesy to Neighbors:
"~We believe in the ""Golden Rule"" here at Mt. Hood Lifestyle. Please be respectful of your neighbors and know that they want to enjoy their vacation just as much as you do. We ask that you respect quiet times and keep noise levels down between 10PM and 7AM. "
~Any complaints to the Police Department concerning the behavior of the Guest, Guest's family, other occupants, guests or visitors while occupying the Rental Property shall result in immediate termination of the Rental Agreement.
Construction:
~We cannot predict construction projects in the neighborhood of the cabin you will be staying in. You may reserve a cabin at a time when there is no construction in progress nearby, but construction could begin prior to your arrival. We regret any inconvenience that may result, but have no control in these situations and are not able to facilitate relocations or refunds.
Power Outages:
~During the winter months, the mountain may experience power outages due to winter weather conditions including wind, rain, fallen trees, ice or sometimes traffic accidents. For us, periodic blackouts are a way of life. As a visitor, you may feel a bit uneasy; we understand that, so to put your mind at ease, we have stocked each house with flashlights that act like nightlights when the power goes out. Typically the power will be restored within a few hours; you can call PGE for more details regarding your location.
Lost and Found:
~We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Eviction:
~We reserve the right to evict, at any time, any guest who is not in compliance with the above stated policies. There will be no refunds for evictions due to non-compliance with the policies.
Legal Conditions:
Legal Action
~The guest shall pay any and all legal fees and costs to the owner and/or agent if any action or suit shall be brought about by the owner or agent for the recovery of rent due, reimbursement of damages, cleaning or other expenses incurred by the renter or to enforce any right hereby conferred, or the recovery of the possession of the premises.
