Positive: Hello fellow travelers! We stayed at Los Huertos end of Sept beginning of Oct 2024. We are a couple with a toddler. First of all some facts: everything in reality looks exactly like you see it on pictures and everything works like it has to. Water runs, toilet flushes, water heater heats water and air heater heats air. The bed is comfortable, two sofas are perfect for Netflix and chill plus you have two extra beds upstairs just in case. Plus you have a pool, grill space, a tent with comfy outdoor chairs to enjoy an ocean view, two donkeys, geese and chicken on upper deck of the property. The owner of this home Pedro is one of the most welcoming and nicest persons in this business. He and his son showed us around, gave us some tips about this and that. Pedro always insisted that we informed him anytime about anything that we needed. We didn’t need much, maybe some more firewood, but it was always a pleasure to have a chat and ask him what other places we could go to. And yes, there’s a lot to see and to enjoy on the island. If i had a chance to travel in time i definitely wouldn’t go anywhere far in first couple of days. There is a very beautiful forrest up in the mountains like 500-700 meters away, there is a cave in a town not far from the house, there is a beautiful town Garachico just 15 minutes drive where you could walk, swim in the ocean or swimming pool, have great food and ice cream. And a big supermarket in Icod with all stuff that you might need and free parking space. That’s pretty much all, folks! With this review we would like to thank Pedro once again for this beautiful place and warm welcome. Los Huertos is a great home and coming back here is really worth considering.
