Summary: Can’t say enough about this wonderful property – it was definitely a highlight of the trip to stay in the only castle in New Zealand! We arrived late in the evening, rang the bell at the gate, and were immediately answered by someone who was expecting us, opened the gate, met us, and led us to our room, which was already heated, ready and waiting. After a wonderful night’s sleep, we were so impressed with the incredible views, and then went on to enjoy the amazing breakfast that was provided! After that, we toured the castle, as the admission price was included in the cost of our stay. Every staff member was so helpful and friendly, and the grounds are so well kept. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you stay here. We did after seeing the penguins out on the point, which made for another unforgettable memory of our trip.
