Experience a unique getaway in a 100-year-old former Fire House! Situated in a quiet neighborhood just 1-block from Lake Erie. Perfect for couples, families and adventure seekers. Great for fishing trips, a beach vacation, Cedar Point visits, Fishing Charters, private gatherings, long term stays, or just a fun getaway.
Located 5 minutes from gorgeous Lakeview Beach, The Shipyards, Black River Landing, The Palace Theater, Rockin' On The River and a boat ramp. 10 Minutes from the Ford Plant. 35 minutes to Cedar Point, Downtown Cleveland and the CLE Airport.
Fire House 401 has two floors- A spacious living room with a large table for 8, large screen TV, bar and cozy couch that pulls out for an extra sleeping option. Upstairs is a bunk house with two queens, a single, a single bunk bed with a futon underneath and an available double air mattress for added sleeping space. Technically only 1 bedroom, yet the living room could also be used as a bedroom for added privacy.
Front patio and back patio with a grill for outdoor enjoyment. The large kitchen is fully equipped with an additional TV.
We cater to fisherman! There is plenty of parking, even for large boats. We can have electric and water hook-ups available and other fishing trip accommodations.
Family friendly- We have a cabinet stocked with toys, games and fireman dress up. Let us know if you need any baby gear.
Guests will have full access to the living quarters of the fire house.
Other things to note-
Historic building- over 100 years old! It's been rehabbed with fresh paint, tile and flooring with bits of Lorain Fire Department history sprinkled throughout. A unique mix of old and new! Aptly renamed as Firehouse 401 because of its address.
The bathroom and shower room are separate from each other. A visitor can shower without also occupying the bathroom at the same time, which can be ideal for larger groups. A few comfy bath robes are provided.
Firehouse 401 is only for you and the guests you register. If you wish to entertain, please discuss that with us prior. We can accommodate larger groups yet depending on the type of gathering. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
