Positive: The view from the balcony was amazing. The hosts were so lovely, limited English but their son helped communicate. At first it was more remote than we'd thought and a hilly walk to get to/from amenities and the beach, however, it really wasn't that far and we found a great local restaurant not far away (Taverna Bashiku - their special salad was amazing). There's also a mini-market not far. We didn't want to go to the louder beaches so went to Maestro beach on a friend's recommendation (also cheaper), which was worth the extra walk. Another good tip is to go to Sheqer Pikant for the day, it's not far, has a great pool and the food was really nice, think it was 15 euros per person for the day.
Negative: As some reviews have said, the room were not very big for a family of 4 (one of the beds was a collapsible bed which we had to make up every night because there just wasn't room), but it has a lovely terrace and we just made sure we didn't have too long hanging out at the apartment, but to use as a base it's fine.
Summary: Great hosts (thanks for the morning melons), lovely terrace/view, thanks for having us.
