The traffic-free Longendale Trail can also be picked up in Glossop, which stretches for 7 miles from Hadfield to Woodhead Tunnel, and is accompanied by spectacular scenery.

Hayfield caters well for tourists with its own collection of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
