Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Charming hotel in a great location. The staff is also incredibly friendly and professional, especially in the lobby restaurant. The lobby itself is also very comfortable, and they have "wine o'clock service" in the early evening and a nightcap at the front desk. Also coffee in the morning.

Negative: It's an old hotel that's been updated, but some things (like the electrical system) did not get updated properly. on the first night, we turned on a hair dryer and it popped the circuit breaker for our room--the whole room went completely dark. We left and when we returned in a couple of hours they'd reset it. On the second day we returned to our room to find that all of the elevators were out of service, except for the service elevator. We went upstairs, went to bed, and when we woke up the elevators were running again. On the third day something else happened. I can't remember what it was, but you get the idea.

Summary: Charming hotel in a great location, but with some deferred maintenance issues
