Positive: There's nothing to dislike about this hotel. Everything is incredibly clean, the staff goes above and beyond to help, and the rooms have all you need (slippers, bathroom robes, and all the toilet-related things). There is a restaurant in the hotel which I also recommend - many options and the food is delicious. The location is a good compromise if you are by car and intend to visit some of the attractions close by (St. Karaper, Tatev etc). The lady managing the hotel, Hasmik, is incredibly knowledgeable about Armenian culture, traditions, and is happy to share it to anyone who asks about it. My friend and I learned a lot with her. She also does a lot for the community and is doing a wonderful job in running the hotel. You can book workshops at the hotel (traditional Armenian carpet making, how to make lavash and some more). We booked on the workshop on the day we did it (carpet making) and it was perfectly fine. We went to Tatev before to take the cable car and see the monastery and they even called to confirm if the cable car was open and reserve the tickets for us (Mondays are usually the maintenance day, thus not always possible to visit). Overall, it truly made a difference for us to stay there. The hospitality was incredible and if I would go back, I would stay there again.
