Positive: Very good balanced harmony of traditional Japanese building and modern facilities (air conditioner, washlet, massage chair, etc). The staff was very nice, gave us directions for our walk and drove us to the train station. Everything was clean and looked very well cared for. The room was super large, which is a quite rare sight in Japan! We also enjoyed being able to reserve the whole common bath for an hour, it really helped us relax!!
Negative: There was no air conditioning in the changing room before the common bath, and having the windows opened did not help at all with the humidity. We ended up sweating so much when drying ourselves after the bath, we felt dirtier than we were originally... Please do consider installing air conditioner in that room 🙏 Also, the room was not soundproof - which is not ideal if the room is in front of a busy road. For people staying there, don't forget your earplugs..!
