Summary: This hotel has many excellent qualities (location and travel options including to the airport, super lovely staff, small but serviceable gym, free pool sauna steam room, lovely bar and outside seating area, spotlessly clean, provided free room water and even a bottle of wine on arrival) but some small draw backs (nope the air con in your room isn’t broken - it’s just very, VERY weak - and there are no back up fans, and the room toilet as a Perspex “pod” in your room means a real lack of privacy if you’re a couple or family). The negatives were not deal breakers during the stay and we had a lovely time but as we visit Portugal in high summer the air con would be a deal breaker for a future stay. If you get it at a good cost, then book- but if air con is a necessity (and check out the toilet pods definitely first if you’re room sharing!) then you may want to just have a think. The staff though were honestly wonderful :)
