This newer home offers expansive views of Bodega Harbor, a small, shallow, natural harbor on the Pacific coast of northern California. Walking through the front door you are immediately drawn into the harbor view. You will say 'wow' as you enter the spacious family room with its large picture windows providing the fabulous view. This home offers a spacious family room/kitchen open floor plan. The entire width of both rooms have picture windows that look upon the dazzling harbor waters. From the family room, walk out onto the large deck to capture the full harbor view, from Doran Beach and the open ocean beyond, to the Bodega Headlands, the marina and more. From the kitchen, prepare your morning coffee and meals while taking in the sights of the harbor.
Whether enjoying that cup of hot coffee in the morning, or a cocktail in the afternoon, you can watch fishing trawlers carry their fresh catch to the local area restaurants. Flocks of pelicans and cormorants are abundant and active over and on the harbor waters. Let their calls and cries enchant you, along with the calls of sea lions which playfully surface in the waters in front of you. Late afternoons can offer spectacular sunsets, and at night, the marina lights and blinking harbor channel lights will mesmerize you. The tranquil foghorn in the distance joins in to complete the harbor experience.
Harbour Scapes is 1200 sq ft, with 1 bedroom and queen-size bed, a walk-in closet, and one full bath. Linens and towels are provided. The living room has a full size couch and a matching chaise lounge chair. The large and spacious kitchen has full assortment of serving pieces, utensils and cookware, along with many kitchen appliances (toaster, Mr Coffee coffee maker, Keurig). The kitchen table offers comfortable seating in the dining area, and a kitchen peninsula has two bar height stools. The deck off the front room is spacious and provides a bistro table set, as well as a lower patio coffee table/chairs/bench set. Very comfortable seating to enjoy the harbor charm at any time during the day or evening.
Maximum occupancy is 2 people. Parking is allowed on the shared driveway. Parking in the garage is not allowed. Sorry, our home is not for children. No children or pets are allowed.
Bodega Bay offers a one-of-a-kind experience. This charming harbor town, made famous in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic movie, “The Birds”, is filled with delightful restaurants and quaint gift shops. The area offers many amenities; hiking trails, beaches, golf, wine tasting in town and is close to many Sonoma County Wineries. In case you forget something, there are two well stocked markets in ‘old town’; Diekmann’s Deli is across the street, and Pelican Plaza is a short walk around the corner.
