Positive: Location and the room itself was good. The toilet was clean, unlike what was said in other reviews. The host keeps some areas like the dishwasher, bins and kitchen benches clean. But a lack of system for saying whose space is whose makes the kitchen difficult to use and contributes to problems.
Negative: Sharing with a multitude of people, including sharing with people from the past stay has its problems and is quite difficult to do. In this case it was a significant problem for us. For example, the fridge is cluttered with other’s food and a lot of it is off or spoiled, when we arrived there was 8 cartons of milk of which 2 were expired by 2 months and literally FERMENTING. No system is implemented for each guest to have their own kitchen shelf space nor fridge space. So others sometimes inadvertently use your food. You can’t use the main kitchen even, and have to use a side kitchen due to potential smell issues. There are many people in the home, and in the week we saw at least 6. The host seems to do some things really well, like ensuring the dishwasher and bins do not become a problem and keeping the kitchen benches clean. Unfortunately, due to past experiences perhaps some things are taken a bit too far. Such as knocking on the door at 8am while the shower is on to get our key card back was not helpful. Given having the card allows us to use the property effectively while packing the car for the 10am checkout.
Summary: Too many people in the home and kitchen not very usable.
