Summary: We chose this hotel due to the location on the waterfront and the swimming pool for a 24 hour stay before we returned home to the uk. Whilst we were happy with the harbour view, on arrival we discovered that the pool was closed for renovation as were communal spaces such as the lobby (a temporary one was in place) There was also only one elevator available for the entire building causing everyone having to wait for several lift button pushes before making it into the elevator. As with all American hotels it did not seem that stairs were available other than for emergency exits. We were offered the use of the pool in the adjoining hotel but this was disorganised with staff in both hotels not being sure of procedures. Neither hotels.com or Hilton contacted us in advance of our stay to let us know about the works. Had this been the case we would not have stayed here and would have chosen another local hotel with a working pool.
