In an environment and an exceptional living environment, our cottage is located in the charming village of Giffaumont-Champaubert labeled "classified tourist station".
Our half-timbered house of the nineteenth called "L'Escale Dorée" has been completely and recently restored in the rules of art.
The renovation and various amenities have been made to preserve the authenticity of the place by offering you an excellent comfort with a neat decoration and punctuated by a harmonious presence of wood and natural materials.
The main house welcomes you on the ground floor with a large and cozy dining room with kitchen of 70m2 composed of two spaces separated from an oak timber which sign the identity of our territory. The following equipment will be at your disposal:

- a flat screen TV and audio equipment.
- Free WIFI access
- A relaxation area for children

In the extension of the main house, our 5 rooms benefit for each of their entry independent and on one level with their own bathroom equipped with a shower and toilets. With family or friends, everyone can find their privacy and independence in their own room if they wish. TV and wifi access in each room.
The 5 bedrooms break down as follows:
- 1 double bedroom with wide entrance door. The bedroom has a double bed of 160x200. The bathroom and the spacious walk-in shower allow the circulation of a wheelchair. (Attention: We are not labeled handicapped room).
- 1 double bedroom with double bed 160x200 with bathroom equipped with a shower and separate toilet.
- 1 double bedroom with double bed 140x200 with bathroom equipped with a shower and separate toilet.
- 1 family room for 4 people, composed on the ground floor of a double bed 160x200 of a bathroom equipped with a shower and separate toilet. Mezzanine is 2 single beds 90x190.
- 1 family room for 5 persons, composed on the ground floor of a double bed of 160x200 of a bathroom equipped with a shower and separate toilet. In mezzanine is 3 single beds of 90x190.
A beautiful covered area with ping-pong table to organize a tournament where the supporters of each team will have their seats.
You can enjoy the tranquility of a spacious courtyard on a plot of 2500m2 and harmoniously flowered with garden furniture and chairs at your disposal to enjoy the sweetness of summer evenings, with barbecue atmosphere if you wish.
The courtyard will be transformed into an open air auditorium to admire the spectacular show of migratory birds, which will delight you by passing over your heads, from October to March.
Our house is ideally located to discover by bike or on foot the lake and its surroundings. You will be able to forget your car during your stay.
You will be able to appreciate the immediate proximity of the restaurants of the village, the nautical station and its casino, located at a few minutes on foot of your lodging.

WHAT TO DO ON SITE?
Our house can be the starting point for a walk in the heart of nature.
- On foot or mountain bike: Another way to discover the Pays du Lac du Der with its 250km of marked trails in a loop.
- By bike: nearly 100km of green ways to go around the lake and connect the cities of St Dizier, Vitry le François and Montier en Der.
A few minutes from the house, all summer lovers of bathing or sunbathing can enjoy the beach at Giffaumont or 5 other beaches around the Lac du Der. An area of 600 hectares is reserved for motor boats. The lake is also an invitation for a ride on the water, sailing, canoeing, paddle boats, electric boat or paddle.
The lake is also a paradise for fishermen with 4000 hectares for a practice of all fisheries.
Other activities just minutes from our cottage: Tree climbing, mini golf.
