Clitheroe's Holmes Mill, a "unique celebration of Lancashire food, drink and entertainment", boasts the longest bar in Britain, as well as an Everyman Theatre and Food Hall that is well worth a visit.
On a clear day you will be able to see the whole of the Ribble Valley and as far as the Yorkshire Dales to the North and Morecambe Bay to the West. Other nearby attractions include the Bowland Wild Boar Park, the breathtaking Whalley Arches, and the National Trust-owned property of Gawthorpe Hall, or head to the coast and spend a day at the seaside resort of Blackpool or Lytham St. Annes.
