This charming coastal family cottage is located on the Intracoastal Coastal Waterway. The back porch opens to an expansive green yard with a majestic live oak tree and the natural beauty of Masonboro Sound. This property is named MoonBeam after the thousands of moonbeams that dance over the water on rising moons. It is a site where families gather to celebrate and be together. And it is a place of quiet respite and porch rocking.
Often, there is a breeze off the water. There are multiple places in the yard to play and relax. Several picnic table and groupings of chairs allow everyone to visit together or read privately or even kick soccer balls.
Located at the water end of Trails End Road, it is a 5 minute walk from 604 Trails End to the free public boat ramp and public dock for fishing. Kayaks and canoes as well as motor boats use this area to launch.
The house has three upstairs bedrooms and two upstairs baths. All bedrooms have water views. Downstairs has a dining areas inside and outside. A living room area facing the water provides a peaceful and cool area after a busy summer day. A den with two comfy sofas for stretching out has a tv and a big mix of board games. There is a half bath downstairs.
A stately live oak shades the backyard. Pecan trees line the drive. The yard is roughly one acre partially enclosed with a fence. There is no direct access for guests to water from property.
The location is about 20 minutes from Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and downtown Wilmington. The ICW is at your back door and Masonboro Island exploration awaits. NC battleship tours, visits to Aquarium at Fort Fisher, cultural events at the Wilson Center, small concerts are often free and scattered around the area, larger concerts at the Live Oak Pavilion are just a few suggestions of activities. Walking the loop at Wrightsville Beach Park or hiking at Fort Fisher never get old. The restaurants are numerous giving much variety. Water activities are big in our county. Lessons and camps for surfing , paddle boarding, kayaking abound.
The one acre is shared only with the owners and their guests. There are 5 parking spots and 3 of these are for renters. The owners have a boat on a lift and will use the property primarily to access the boat and dock. This is a very quiet neighborhood and renters will be asked to sign an agreement to honor neighborhood rules.
