If you're working remotely, rest assured that this cottage is equipped with high-speed gigabit internet throughout the house, ensuring seamless connectivity during your stay. You'll find yourself just ~20 minutes from the entrance of Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, along with a quick ~13-minute drive to downtown Luray and ~18 minutes to the remarkable Luray Caverns.
This recently remodeled cottage harmonizes modern amenities with a serene country ambiance. Nestled atop a hill at the end of a gravel road, it offers unrivaled views of the surrounding farmland.
Inside, the main floor features an inviting kitchen, cozy living room, dining area, and the first of three comfortable bedrooms. The living room is furnished with a couch (including a pull-out bed) and two playful spinning chairs, creating a perfect space for relaxation or movie night. Adjacent is the dining room, which boasts a six-seat table, ideal for family meals.
While Luray has many dining venues, you'll appreciate having a fully stocked kitchen to prepare home-cooked meals while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The first floor also includes a full bathroom with a tub, conveniently located for guests in Bedroom 1, furnished with a queen bed and a cozy sitting chair.
Venture upstairs to discover Bedrooms 2 and 3, alongside a second full bathroom featuring a stand-up shower. Bedroom 2, the largest, comes with a king-sized bed, dresser, and corner seating area, complete with a desk for those needing a workspace. Enjoy panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains right from your window.
Bedroom 3 is located directly across the hall from Bedroom 2 and accommodates two twin beds, perfect for friends or family.
For additional space, the cottage's furnished basement includes another lounge area, TV, and game room, as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Outside, you can engage in various activities, whether lounging on a hammock or relaxing on the balcony rocking chairs while admiring the scenic Ida Valley. Be sure not to miss the west-facing balcony—it's the quintessential spot for sunset viewing! At night, gather around the fire pit for classic s’mores and memorable conversations.
The cottage comfortably houses up to 8 guests, though we find that a group size of 5-6 creates the most enjoyable experience. We are pleased to be pet-friendly, welcoming you and your furry companions (up to two dogs or cats) for a small fee of $50. Please review our House Rules for pet requirements.
You’ll have full access to the entire home and property, except for the exterior shed. Feel free to roam and explore the lovely grounds during your visit. Although I won’t be available in person to greet you, feel free to contact me anytime through the booking platform.
