Welcome to our clean, bright and family friendly apartment on the award winning Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort. The apartment is situated on Calle Indico (see map) and is on the first floor, overlooking a large swimming pool and children’s paddling pool. There is lift access to the first floor. The apartment is nicely furnished with everything you and your family would need to have a fantastic holiday in the sun.
The apartment has two bedrooms, both with single beds that can be put together to make superking size. The dmain bedroom has patio doors leading to the large balcony (which overlooks the pool). The lounge has a TV with choice of International and UK programmes and Blu-Ray player, and free reliable Wi-Fi. The lounge also has patio doors onto the large, double aspect balcony, with wide ranging views. The kitchen is fully fitted with white goods including a dishwasher and microwave, and leads to a small balcony housing the washing machine and boiler. The large, double aspect, patio balcony is south facing so has the sun pretty much all day. There is plenty of room to enjoy meals al fresco, bask in the sun taking in the views and chill in the evenings. A patio table, seven chairs and two recliner chairs are provided for your comfort. There is also a high chair.
Bathroom has bath, shower, toilet and bidet.
Air Conditioning is installed in the lounge and both bedrooms, ensuring a comfortable stay no matter how hot the Spanish sun gets. The apartment also has heating just in case! Extra bed linen is provided for your use, as well as towels and tea towels.
There are large swimming pools throughout the resort, 19 in total, the nearest one is approximately 1 minutes’ walk from the apartment.
Hacienda Riquelme is a gated community with 24 hour security, entry control, and CCTV coverage, giving total peace of mind. It is home to the famous Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course, plus a driving range, although there’s lots to do for non-golf fans too ! The golf course is a par 72 and 6416-metre course. It covers an area of 71 hectares and has a mountain backdrop and panoramic views of the coast. There are also two tennis courts, two paddle courts, two petanque (boules) lanes, one multi use games area and an outdoor gym.
The old Hacienda farm house is home to the El Cason bar and restaurant and pizzeria, and the resort also has a well stocked supermarket for all your needs – both within an easy 5 minute walk from the apartment.
The village of Sucina is a short drive or walk (about 1 mile) along the footpath leading from the resort, where you will find shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy. The seaside town of Los Alcázares, with sandy beaches, shallow sea, and restaurants is about a 20-minute drive away. There are many places to discover along the Costa Cálida ("warm coast"), including the Mar Menor, Europe’s biggest salt water lagoon with shallow, warm water. With higher salinity than the Mediterranean, it is a non-tidal haven both for water sports enthusiasts and those who enjoy the safety of this tranquil “little sea”.
The resort is serviced by two regional airports – Murcia (RMU) a 20 minute drive away, and Alicante (ALC) about a 60 minute drive away.
