Positive: Location in the park was beautiful. Lovely walking area. The house was basic, but the beds were comfortable.
Negative: Firstly, the host forgot to send us the correct directions, and we drove round and round using Google Maps trying to enter the park. Secondly, although she had told us we could enter the house at 2pm she forgot to send us the key code and we were hanging around the house until she sent it to us at 5pm. The dog noise from the kennels next door was excessive, althouigh to be fair, we had been warned about this beforehand. After booking, the owner then charged us 60 euros for our dog, which is the most I have ever paid for a dog, and this should have been published beforehand, not after our booking, for reasons of transparency. Casa de Pomar is supposedly ecological, we had seperate rubbish for recycling, which we agree with. However, on the first morning, the apple orchard in front of the house was sprayed by a tractor with clouds of horrid smelling chemicals, and on the second day men were spraying weeds behind the house wearing masks, again not pleasant. We felt as if we were in the middle of an annual spraying event, which made us eager to leave the property rather than stay, as it smelt bad
