Positive: We had a great time in Casa da Costa! Maria is one of the best hosts we have ever had! She was very attentive, and communicative. She treated us like family! We stayed an entire week, and at some point, we ran out of wood for the fireplace. The house has inverter units, so it wasn't an emergency. However, Maria came quickly and brought us more wood! We were welcomed with Alvarinho wine, fresh bread, "happy cheese" from the Happy Goats of Melgaço! Other goodies and of course Maria's beautiful smile! The house had everything we needed, was spotless and we loved to use the fireplace and the grill! It was spacious and had a nice kitchen. We also loved the location, as it was quite centered between Melgaço, Castro de Laboreiro, and part of Geres National Park! We enjoyed the silence as we walk at night. We even bought eggs, wine, and choriço from a neighbor and those were delicious! The views from this house are incredible! We would love to return one day, and I recommend Casa da Costa to anyone that is looking to have a unique experience!
Negative: I wish the house had a pool or a jacuzzi :). Maybe some more lights outside to enjoy the small terrace during the night when is warm enough. Other than that, it was just great for us!
