Upon entry, you will be delighted with the mountain seclusion of Carter Lake House. Gather with your group in our large open living room area with leather sectional sofa and large smart TV. Sip a steaming cup of coffee or tea while enjoying the spectacular views of Carter Lake and the surrounding mountains on the large deck spaces. A wonderful retractable awning is available on the deck for providing some shade on those hot summer days.
The spacious floor plan works great for a comfortable living situation and for providing plenty of privacy for your group. Each bedroom is furnished with luxury beds and high quality linens. With a living room, full bathroom, walkout porch and queen bedroom in the lower level of the home, you will find a fantastic private retreat from the rest of the group. On the main floor, the master king bedroom with attached master bath provides a secluded living area with a walkout directly to the amazing deck space. A beautiful bright living room with vaulted ceilings and large windows faces out to the lake and mountain views. Another queen bedroom and bathroom with jetted tub are situated just off of the living room on the main level. The dining room, with seating for 6, sits just off of a wonderful kitchen with everything you may need to cook a delicious meal, just grab your groceries.
We do accept dogs with a $50 pet fee per dog up to 2 dogs, and a $300 refundable security deposit. Please let us know if you plan on bringing a dog.

Just a couple minutes drive or a short walk away is a wonderful swim beach where you can cool down and relax in the sun while watching sailboats cruise by. Also, the marina at Carter Lake has pontoon and fishing boat rentals available for reserving ahead of time.
The Windjammer Roadhouse Bar and Grill is just a few minutes drive or a walkable distance, and a great spot to get a bite to eat and mingle with the locals.
There is a great hiking trail called the Sundance Trailhead on the northwest side of the lake near the Marina. This is a great area to stretch your legs and enjoy the views of the lake as it follows along the west edge of the reservoir.
Downtown Loveland is a 20 minute drive from Carter Lake House. You can explore the multiple breweries, delicious restaurants and theaters.
Benson sculpture garden is a beautiful spot to visit where you can enjoy the walking paths and ponds through 10 acres of sculptures showcasing the artistic beauty of Loveland. This is a major sculpting community and throughout town there are wonderful sculptures to view.
Fort Collins is a great college town just north of Loveland and a 30 minutes drive, with availability to world famous breweries such as New Belgium and Odell Brewing Companies. Look them up online to schedule a brewery tour or visit the expansive tasting rooms for a taste of fresh and delicious made on site brews. You will find a thriving downtown with quaint shops, a wide variety of restaurants, local coffee shops and great concert venues such as the Aggie Theatre. Fort Collins is an amazing spot to visit during your stay at Carter Lake House.
Take the gorgeous, 30-minute drive to the famed Estes Park for a day trip of hiking and exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. With a one-hour drive north, you'll find Cheyenne, Wyoming. Denver and Denver International Airport are also only an hour south.
