Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful castle and location. The interior of the castle is very well-preserved and has a lot of character. The grounds, with many horses (which you can ride), goats and some donkeys to pet are very lively. We booked a Deluxe Suite, which was spacious and clean.

Negative: The breakfast was very poor. The offering is simple and many breakfast items are not restocked so there are no croissants/cheese left after an hour. I wanted to order eggs from the menu, which was not possible. Only 2 people seem to run the breakfast, which is not enough. Tables were not cleaned, so it was hard to find a clean table. This breakfast does not match the 5-star rating of the hotel. Also, I found the staff at the reception not overly friendly - a simple smile goes a long way! Staff was also complaining openly to guests about being understaffed, that is really not good.

Summary: Beautiful place, but service is not good enough
