A beautifully-presented semi-detached cottage which is situated close to the centre of Sheringham in North Norfolk.
This lovely cottage is in a tranquil spot, ideal for families or friends to get away from it all. The cottage is presented to a high standard throughout. Step in and enjoy the cosy sitting room after a day out exploring. Walk through the sitting room and enter the light, airy fully-equipped kitchen with dining area and a patio door leading out to a secluded patio area with outdoor furniture. The front gravelled garden with views overlooking the common is an ideal spot for breakfast in the morning or enjoying a good book while catching the warmth of the sun during the summer months.
Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with lovely views over the common, a twin bedroom and a shower room. The cottage has lovely views over Beeston Back Common with its network of streams running through and minutes from the wonderful beach. The land adjacent to the cottage also has a handy washing line.
The cottage is well situated for exploring both quaint Sheringham and the wide golden sands of its blue flag beach. The heritage railway steam train runs up and down the Poppy Line, from Sheringham to the popular Georgian town of Holt; which is renowned for its selection of cafes, independent shops, antiques and the arts. There is excellent walking and cycling on your doorstep with beautiful coastal and woodland routes to explore.
Close by are stately homes such as Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and the royal residence at Sandringham. There are also Nature Reserves which include local Beeston common, but also Blakeney and Holkham National Nature Reserves, as well as an off shore seal colony which is visited by boats run from Morston Quay.
There are also local seasonal delights worth experiencing, from the Rhododendron
display at Sheringham's National Trust Park in May; the famous 1940's weekend where the whole town steps back in time in September; Norfolk Restaurant Week with gourmet food at tempting prices in October; and finally Thursford's Christmas Spectacular in November and December which is within easy reach by car.
This really is a very nice cottage, for couples, friends or families, in a great location, whatever the time of the year.
Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town. Sheringham has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for cleanliness for its beach, along with awards from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort.
