Villa Tamarindo is one of three villas at the Sendas del Mar luxury compound which lies in a two and one half acre gated compound. It sits directly on an unspoiled nine mile stretch of white sand beach on the Pacific coast of Mexico. It is close to the tiny and charming fishing village of Barra de Potosi. And nearby is an extensive lagoon system to explore. The property is located fifteen minutes south of the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH),. Sendas del Mar is easy to access yet a world away from the hustle and bustle of the popular tourist destinations of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
The villa is a 500 square foot architecturally stunning open palapa with bedroom (king bed convertible to twins), in-suite bathroom, seating area, kitchen and private patio. It directly faces the ocean and your privacy is ensured by well tended surrounding tropical foliage. The kitchen includes a full sized refrigerator and four burner gas stove with cookware and utensils. All the water is purified. Maid service is included.
The property has over three hundred feet of beachfront and the ocean is literally 100 steps away. A nearby point shelters the beach from open surf and provides gentle waves, perfect for swimming in the 80 something degree water. The three villas at Sendas del Mar (check website) share a beachfront infinity pool, a shaded pavilion with a full sized pool table and 3000 sq meters of grounds with tropical gardens, water lily pond and orchard. There is a large parking area inside the walls
The caretaker family lives on the premises and provides cleaning, security and maintenance services. Onsite staff also can help make arrangements for massages, private cook, fishing, golfing, and surfing outings as well as sightseeing trips to nearby Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.
Sendas del Mar is a five minute walk from the village of Barra de Potosi with its restaurants and grocery stores and its famous seafront seafood enramadas. The village also offers kayak and paddle board rentals and boat tours of the offshore islands and the lagoon, which is a birder’s paradise.
