Summary: I’ve heard that Apple Farm is a wonderful place to stay and was looking forward to a special experience, but overall it was very average. I found myself wishing we’d stayed at a more economical place for these reasons: 1. Staff were not overly friendly or welcoming. Just average. It never felt like anyone went above and beyond for any reason. Hospitality should never be just a job. 2. Coffee was appreciated by one of us, and we never tried the complimentary wine as we do not drink. When asked if there was another beverage option, we were told water. Ha! Hardly an equal trade. 3. Total extra amenity charge of $50 for two nights. $30 parking in a tiny lot clearly not designed for today’s vehicles. Not sure what the extra $20 amenity charge was for, I believe the pool and coffee? Daily cookies were offered too. We never saw the pool. The king room was spacious for two and clean, minus a stray hair or two left behind in the restroom. I liked the decor and the bed was comfortable. I did not like the loud footsteps of a child running above my ceiling. Will have to try another hotel next time we’re in the area.
