Blue Shore Cottages is the perfect retreat for large families and friends right on beautiful West Bay in Northern Michigan. Blue Shore cottages are made up of 4 tiny cottages totaling 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and sleeps up to 14 people (we can have 2 kids under 5 for a total of 16 if needed). Each cottage is around 400 square feet or less but well appointed and has many amenities.
Cottages are air conditioned/heated, spotlessly clean, have full kitchens (no dishwashers), wireless internet, includes all linens, has all your kitchen needs, picnic tables, and charcoal grill. You will enjoy a hundred feet of private waterfront with sparkling clear Lake Michigan right outside your door. You can lay out in the sun on dock or relax under a shade tree. The best part is of the cottages you have views to die for and you're only 5 minutes to Traverse City and less than 15 minutes to Suttons Bay!
With water levels high there is no sandy beach area or an area to walk down to without the dock installed but you can still view the lake from the decks. Launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the dock or enjoy the sitting area to watch boats drive by. Please note, you cannot tie a boat to dock unsupervised or overnight. You can only use to load/unload only and we cannot guarantee that the dock configuration or water levels will allow you to do that as they are inconsistent. Dock is removed from mid-September through mid/late May due to winter weather; otherwise it should be ready for your enjoyment.
Blue Shore Cottages is ideal for family or friend groups that rent all 4 and have the whole resort to themselves. You can cook outside together, enjoy the water, sunsets, campfires together and then go home to your own private little cottage to sleep.
Each cottage is unique in size, layout, furnishings:
# 1 has 2 private bedrooms with full size beds. A private bathroom with stand up shower, plus a large lakeside patio. This cottage is recently renovated as of fall 2018.
# 2 has a small private bedroom with full size bed with a futon in living area. A private bathroom with stand up shower and a private lakeside deck hanging out over the beach.
# 3 is a bit smaller--studio bedroom with queen bed and with a futon as well , but the most private. Has a nice private bathroom with stand up shower and lots of storage.
# 4 our chalet, has a loft bedroom only accessible by ladder plus a main floor queen sleeper, full laundry room and a private lakeside deck. A private bathroom as well with a shower/tub combo.
