Initially, the Bergerie site was little more than a 6,000 m² grassland with the half-timbered buildings of the ruined 18th-century farmhouse and only a few fruit trees.
Now it's the playground of Sylvie, a passionate lover of flowers and color, and her husband Frédéric, who have completely transformed the site, creating a magnificent, lush and colorful garden where everyone can find their own privacy, tranquility and space.

This is the passion that drives Frédéric and Sylvie, who have been immersed in the world of tourism ever since they left school. In 2002, they bought an 18th-century farmhouse in ruins and decided to learn ancient restoration techniques to bring the 8 buildings of the Bergerie hamlet back to life. It's a challenge for these lovers of old stones, who are going to play the ecological restoration card for a better quality of life. Sylvie had previously worked as a tourist guide for almost 30 years, traveling the world, and one day she decided to settle in a little corner of paradise in L'Orne, between the bocage and Suisse Normande, where nature is still preserved, where human values still have meaning, where you're surrounded by passionate and enthusiastic people, producers who respect the cycles of nature and responsible agriculture, whose products are a joy to showcase. As for Frédéric, he spent over 10 years as a Grand Touring driver, sharing his passion for European road travel. In 2000, he traded in his coach for a vehicle of more modest size to continue transporting his customers, but as a ... cab. Is it this new vocation as a taxi-driver that gave him his passion for old English cabs! Sylvie is undoubtedly no stranger to the arrival of 3 taxi-cabs at La Bergerie, much to the delight of their guests, whom they take on the roads of the Suisse Normande region (reservations required).
