Summary: We really liked this hotel - the privacy, the spaciousness, the memorable moments. However, there was a very small staff, and that definitely impacted our stay. Several things were broken in our room (toilet roll holder, AV holder). We had to wait forty minutes for our room to be ready, and then there was no service for our three day/two night stay... wet towels in the morning the second room, no bed make-up for the second day, etc. We also wished that the fires had been lit and the property cleaned (food containers from cafe open till 10 AM were left out all day)... but we chalked up our experience to it being the off season and skeleton staffing. Still, the beauty of the place, proximity to the park, bath, bed view and very large shower made up for a lot for the little inconveniences. Overall our experience was very positive. We had read reviews about the property's growing pains, and think those were accurate.
