Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: We love the area around Lake Cuyamaca and Julian. It is quite a hill to drive up and we enjoyed the location. We did not use many of the upgrades like the hot tub and pool table because we were doing lots of hiking and exploring. It was very comfortable and we were happy to have our dog with us for an extra fee. The whole place (3 floors ) is nicely organized and very clean.
Negative: The driveway takes a bit of talent to maneuver approaching and leaving. The directions make sense and should be followed when arriving. There’s gravel at the top on the driveway that had been displaced onto the lower asphalt leaving a couple of ruts. We talked to the property manager about the slipping on the gravel while leaving and my partner directed me out so we did not hit the trash box at the bottom or the neighbors car. It also was slippery to walk on down the driveway to the road. Normally, this does not seem to be an issue. Be prepared to hike up a couple of flights to the main level also. We were there to hike and would love to come back!
