The cottage is perfectly located only a mile away from the famous Church Bay Beach (called Porth Swtan in Welsh), where guests can enjoy the beautiful rural and unspoilt sand and pebble beach edged with rock pools. Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times of the year and swimming, sailing, fishing and surfing are all popular activities from this Blue Flag beach. The beach is predominantly a large, flat sandy beach – when the tide is out the beach is perfect for families and dog walks, and when the tide is in all the way, coastal path runs right across the top and is perfect for walkers to enjoy the stunning views.
Fydlyn Beach and Porth Tywyn Mawr are other beaches within a mile or two of Abersant Cottage. Fydlyn is a secluded shingle beach that sits in the shelter of the rocky islets of Ynys y Fydlyn while Porth Tywyn Mawr is half a mile of beautiful golden sand and largely backed by low dunes. It’s a popular spot for watersports such as sailing, jet-skiing, kite-surfing, kayaking and surfing. The local restaurant is famous for its lobster and the area boasts many great places to enjoy a meal out.
At the cottage, guests arrive into the contemporary kitchen which is well-equipped for self-catering stay, comprising all the amenities to cook up a feast. Walking through the kitchen, guests will find the light and spacious living room with its leather sofas and a smart TV. Also on the ground floor, can be found a double bedroom and a tiled family bathroom with an electric shower over the bath making Abersant Cottage a good choice for those guests who prefer a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.
Upstairs, there is an extra double bedroom and a single bedroom, both with ample storage for a self-catering stay. All towels and linen are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach/pet towels.
Outside, the enclosed garden is perfect for young children and pets who you can safely enjoy the outside space. Guests can sit out using the outdoor furniture set and enjoy the BBQ. There is also the added luxury of a covered hot tub, which is a popular feature with guests all year round.
Other popular features with guests are the off-road parking for two cars and the fibre wireless internet, while a travel cot and highchair are available for guests bringing young children.
Please note that stag/hen or similar parties are not permitted and the property has a £150 security deposit. Young puppies or old dogs require prior agreement with the owner (please call for details), and pets should not be left alone in the property at any time. The property is strictly no-smoking throughout.
