Trilbys is a delightful cottage nestled near the small, bustling town of Chagford, Devon. It boasts one double bedroom with an en-suite basin and WC, sleeping two people, along with a ground floor shower room. The interior also comprises a lounge/diner and a galley-style kitchen. To the outside is off-road parking for one car along with a beautiful enclosed walled garden with table and chairs. Trilbys is a romantic retreat for two.
Amenities: Underfloor heating. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, TV/DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 1 car. Enclosed walled garden at the rear with lawn, pond and patio furniture. Sorry, no pets, no children and no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: Cottage has no WiFi due to weak signal, however there is a landline available for emergencies and short UK calls. Note: Access to parking is via narrow barn door.
Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Town: Chagford is one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, small in size but packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs, as well as a public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history and well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals alongside an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the city of Exeter, definitely worth a visit.
