On arrival at this property you will enter straight through the front door into the hallway, which then opens onto the snug/reading room consisting of sofas, an electric log fire, TV and doors leading to the patio. Ellerbeck Bridge also offers a great family kitchen and a handy utility area just off the kitchen which is great for storing outdoor gear and has a washer drier and American style fridge/freezer. You can also expect a lovely lounge/dining room along with oodles of outdoor space in the form of two patios and a terrace by the beck. The garden has been professionally landscaped to incorporate two large patios, a backside terrace and lawned garden area. The front garden is made up of an alpine rockery and there is private parking for four cars. Beyond the garden there is native deciduous woodland that is a haven for wildlife including birds of all kinds, red squirrels, badger and deer. Ascending the staircase to the first floor presents you with a landing leading to all upstairs rooms. Firstly there is a dual aspect master bedroom with king size beds and beautiful views across the valley. The second bedroom, complete with an ensuite walk in shower and boasts a king size double bed. Bedroom three presents matching oak twin beds and the last bedroom offers 3ft bunkbeds. All bedrooms are decorated to a high standard with matching oak furniture. The bathroom is equipped with a large feature bath, shower, basin and WC. Location For a truly relaxing holiday in the Lake District, this self-catering property in the Lyth Valley is ideal, need a winter retreat in the holidays? Or maybe a base for you summer break? Look no further, this property is great year round. Away from the busier areas, but still only 20 minutes from Bowness, you'll find complete peace and relaxation in this beautiful rural area. The Lyth Valley is located to the east of Lake Windermere, overlooked by famous Lake District walks on Scout Scar and Whitbarrow Scar. The sheltered valley is famous for its damson orchards, which give rise to gorgeous white blossom in spring. The landscape is scattered with country homes and rural Lake District cottages, as well as a choice of several acclaimed Lake District country pubs, such as The Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite and the Masons Arms at Strawberry Bank. A romantic walk nearby is the ascent of Gummers How, which offers simply wonderful views of Lake Windermere from the top. The Cartmel Fell tarns walk is also a lovely afternoon's worth, starting at Bowland Bridge's historic church.
