Lodges | Cottage in Bridford, United Kingdom
The lodges are surrounded by a beautiful 12-acre ancient woodland, complete with its own stream and an abundance of wildlife. Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the privately owned woodlands or explore further into the Dartmoor National Park.
The lodges comprise one spacious 2 bedroom property with a single bedroom on the ground floor and a kingsized bed on the first floor. There is a one-bedroomed property in the middle of the set and a cosy studio at the end of the row.
All of the kitchens are well equipped for a self-catering stay with all the amenities required to cook up a feast. All of the properties have their own Wi-Fi connection and separate TVs with freesat channels and a DVD player.
There is a beautiful stream running right through the garden and past the back door of the properties. The sound of running water helps create a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere for a peaceful stay, but it does make the property unsuitable for young children. Babes in arms are very welcome, however.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead as there are other dogs on the premises but also, we have an abundance of wildlife that we are keen to protect their welfare.
There is private, off-road parking for up to 3 cars.
Dartmoor National Park, with its wild open moorland and woodlands, is perfect for those who enjoy adventure and outdoor pursuits including walking, horse riding and rock climbing. Two golf courses are located nearby. Dartmoor is also famous for its superb walks, reservoirs, heather-clad moors, tors, Dartmoor ponies and cream teas! Local walks will take you along a bridle path up to Mardon Down, to the riverside walk at Steps Bridge or along lanes to explore the local countryside.
Easy access to Dartmoor (8 miles), the cathedral city of Exeter (10 miles) and the Jurassic Devon coastline (14 miles). Shops and pubs 2 miles (Dunsford) and 4 miles (Moretonhampstead).
