The town of Playa de Santiago is a very quiet town, located on the coast of La Gomera. It has restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, greeting center, pharmacy. And everything is very close to Casa Nana.
Public transport works very well on the island. Throughout the day there are buses with regular line to the capital of the island. Also in the port there are boats every day bound for San Sebastian, the capital, and towards Valle Gran Rey, the island's tourist center. Taxis will also be available throughout the day.
