The area
Can Picafort is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Mallorca. Its beaches, awarded with the blue flag of the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) extend along almost 9 kilometers of coast, are of fine white sand and are equipped with all the services. The offer for leisure is extensive, with numerous bars, restaurants, discotheques, sports, etc. and with all the facilities: supermarkets, pharmacies, medical center, municipal swimming pool. From this town you can reach any point of the island. The Parc Natural de s'Albufera is just a few kilometers away by bicycle, as is the Parc de la finca pública de Son Real (a unique natural site full of archaeological sites), which can be reached by walking, cycling or horseback riding along the coast.
A bus line connects Can Picafort with Puerto de Alcúdia, the walled Roman city of Alcúdia, Puerto de Pollença, Pollença, Inca and Palma, the capital.
