Diogo and Ana exchanged the hustle and bustle of the City for the peace and tranquility of the secular Little Wood Village. Embedded in a surprisingly preserved landscape, they set to work to rescue her from the state of ruin she was in. And they wanted to share it with you!
The idea was to strictly respect the identity of each one of the houses, from its architecture, to the materials of construction used, to the furnishings, while providing them with all the conditions of comfort and habitability of our days. Awarded officially and acclaimed in the media, Aldeia da Mata Pequena, is today one of the rare examples of the Traditional Architecture of the Saloia Region.
Mafra with its imposing Palace (only 8km), Ericeira Beach (15km) and Sintra, World Heritage Site, (less than 20km) are some of the must-visit places.
In each house you will find products of the region for your breakfast and Pão de Mafra, cooked in a wood oven, is delivered, still steaming, every morning at your door.
If you do not feel like cooking at home or getting in the car to go to a restaurant, you can always go to Tasquinha da Aldeia and enjoy the traditional snacks prepared for you.
